Abbas Al-Mejren, PhD

Dr. Abbas Al-Mejrenholds a PhD In Economics from the University of Exeter (UK), and an MA in Economics from the University of Oregon (USA). In addition to his experience as a lecturer and academic researcher, he held leadership positions as head of the department of economics, director of training, and director of energy studies at the College of Business of Kuwait University.

Dr. Al-Mejrenhas been seconded as an expert at the Industrial Bank of Kuwait, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Planning, and the Ministry of Finance, and as an advisor for the Kuwait Program at the London School of Economics, and a visiting professor at Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Al-Mejrenled many research projects and study teams, authored and participated in dozens of academic studies, and has a large number of research papers published in local and international refereed journals, in addition to his role as a referee and member of the editorial board of three academic journals.
