Adam Holton is Chief People Officer for Amedisys, responsible for enabling the culture, attraction, support and development of the people who provide superior quality of care during over 12 million patient visits annually.

 Mr. Holton brings 20+ years of human resources leadership experience and possesses considerable C-suite experience. Prior to joining Amedisys, he served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at both Numotion, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, and CHS, Inc., a F100 diversified global agribusiness cooperative that creates connections to empower agriculture. He also held HR leadership roles with General Electric, USAA and Bank One. Prior to that, he was a high school basketball coach and teacher.

Mr. Holton served for eight years in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer, stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and Quantico, Virginia. In 2004, he deployed with a Marine Corps reserve Infantry Battalion as a Company Commander to Lutafiyah, Iraq, about 20 miles south of Baghdad, as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Mr. Holton received his Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy and serves on the Board of Directors of Sierra Delta, a national leader for the education, advocacy, promotion and funding of the service dog industry that works to connect high-quality service dogs with veterans.
