Adam Ramsay

Adam Ramsay is currently fulfilling a senior interim role at Smiths Group plc, a FTSE 100 multi-national diversified engineering and technology company.

Until June this year Adam was General Counsel at Edwards Group, a $1bn t/o high technology manufacturer (formerly NASDAQ listed) designing and manufacturing precision vacuum pumps and systems for the semiconductor industry and a number of other industries and markets. Edwards has direct operations in over 20 countries and over 50% pf its revenues derive from the APAC region (US 25% and ROW 25%). Edwards was majority owned by private equity and was acquired in January this year by Atlas Copco AB, the Swedish engineering and mining group in a $1.6bn public to private transaction.

Adam was responsible for all legal and compliance matters in the Edwards group and was a member of the executive committee reporting to the CEO. In particular Adam set up and ran the ethics and bribery compliance programme and rolled this out globally including training and running international investigations and reporting to the board.

Adam has previously held senior legal roles in the UK listed environment including at MITIE Group plc, Babcock International Group plc and BG Group plc.
