Albert Snell brings 20 years of health carrier and consulting experience to lead Benefit Strategy at Surest.  His teams of actuaries and underwriters collaborate with prospects (and their consulting partners) to develop Surest plan offerings that meet financial requirements while accomplishing the short and long-term strategic goals of the plan sponsor. The Benefit Strategy team also helps existing clients interpret plan performance vs. expectation, monitor member behavior change and evolve plan design for existing plan sponsors to stay current with Surest best practices.

Prior to joining Surest in 2020, Albert spent 10 years with Mercer in New York City as a health and benefits consultant focused on providing analytics for jumbo clients and 5 years prior to that with Excellus BlueCross BlueShield supporting their fully insured underwriting engine. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Rochester Institute of Technology.
