Dr. Ambica Rajagopal is the Group Chief Data & AI Officer at Michelin. In this role, she is spearheading Michelin’s focus on AI and Data transformation in various areas like AI applications (covering Data Science and Operations, NLP, CV), AI infrastructure, AI research, Data Democratization, Data Governance, and more.

Her prior engagement was as Global Data Science Director - Advanced Analytics, at Cummins Inc, and Chief Analytics Officer at STL Sterlite Technologies. Under her leadership, machine learning and AI technologies have been widely applied in manufacturing excellence, R&D, and sales and marketing, with several AI systems in production. This resulted in efficiency gains, monetary savings, and deeper understanding of the processes.

Ambica is active in global AI networks and industry forums guiding the development of AI as a technology, with a specific focus on manufacturing/industrial use cases. Ambica advises venture capital firms with her expertise on AI and Gen AI.

Dr. Ambica Rajagopal holds a PhD in Mathematics from Purdue University.
