Arindam joined Citi in 2008 and is currently a Managing Director in Citi Finance, reporting to Citi’s Controller & Chief Accounting Officer. In this role, he is responsible for monthly and quarterly global financial close, Balance Sheet reconciliation, Capital Reporting, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) reporting and Treasury & daily Liquidity reporting for the entire Citigroup, supported by a vast array of technology platforms and digital tools. He manages a global organization of over 2,800 financial analysts and senior leaders based across Asia, USA, Europe, and Latin America. Arindam is a member of Controller Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Prior to this position, Arindam headed Citi’s service center network globally, which comprises of 40+ centers across all geographies and house about 60% of Citi’s total workforce. He was responsible for planning & governance of the network.

Before the CSC Network Head role, Arindam led Identity & Access Management operations for Citi globally and managed a team of over 1,000 analysts and senior managers across four major global hubs. Arindam was a member of Citi’s Information Security Risk Operating Committee (ISROC). Concurrently, he headed the strategy & re-engineering function for all of Citi GBS.

Before joining Citi, Arindam was an Associate Partner and a member of the firm’s Financial Services practices leadership in a strategy consulting firm in New York. Arindam started his career with American Express Company (Amex), where he worked for over 10 years across several geographies in India, Asia and US. He started as a banker in Amex Corporate & Investment Banking group and later worked in Finance and in Marketing Analytics for Amex’ Network business.

Arindam has an undergraduate degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM). He sits on Global Talent Council of Asia Society, New York, and boards / advisory council of multiple non-profit and GBS Industry organizations.
