Ava Forte Vitali is the Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility, for Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books. She oversees the company’s portfolio of non-profit partnerships and philanthropic programs, which involves donating up to 5 million books a year to children in underserved communities or areas recovering from natural disaster. Ava has a Master’s degree in art history and archaeology and, prior to her role at Scholastic, spent 10 years working in the museum sector. Ava continues to be passionate about arts education; she is an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University and the President of the Board of the Greater Astoria Historical Society. Ava is currently completing her certificate in Corporate Citizenship Practice at the Boston College Carroll School of Management.
