Cindy Gallagher serves as the Chief Accounting Officer and Controller at Gannett. In her current role she oversees Accounting, Business Services and Treasury. Prior to Gannett she served as the CEO and co-founder of Liberty Source, a boutique business process outsourcing firm focused on providing data analytics and financial services to clients while furthering the employment of military spouses and veterans. Cindy found her passion for accounting and shared service operations while leading global operating teams at Discovery Communications and AOL.

She enjoys building, scaling, and transforming operations to meet the ever-expanding needs of the global marketplace. Most notably during her time at Discovery, the organization earned a designation among the top 20 most admired organizations globally.

She has served as an advisor and partner to various senior executives, helping to identify new revenue generating business opportunities, streamline and scale global processes, implement talent development initiatives and maintain financial statement integrity.

She began her career with SC&H Consulting providing best practice thought leadership and implementing process improvement initiatives for Fortune 100 clients. She is an active member of the advisory board for SSOW North America, and is a personal advocate for Veterans Ascend, an organization focused on furthering the careers of veterans and military spouses. She has served as the Finance Chairman for a Virginia based non-profit assisting victims of domestic violence find safe housing and a brighter future and is currently the Sponsorship Chairman for her local Little League.
