Darren’s professional career began in the restaurant industry, where he created and executed the nation-wide training programs for Houston’s Restaurant Group. Getting swept-up in the dot com explosion in the San Francisco Bay Area in the late 90’s, Darren was hired to establish the customer service training programs for all disciplines for Webvan Group, as well as for Napster. Capitalizing on those talents, Darren then brought his forward-thinking efforts and cutting-edge training and development strategies and introduced eLearning and various blended-style learning approaches to the University of California, Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, and to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Darren found his true professional calling when he was recruited to re-energize and lead the Onboarding Program at Stanford University for new staff members. Today, Darren continues to employ those passion-driven, enablement, and forward-thinking skills to create effective solutions that visibly promote inclusion and engagement and improved employee performance and retention at Cisco Meraki.
