Deb Macchia is VP, Health & Welfare at Omnicom Group. With over 5,000 clients in more than 70 countries, Omnicom is the leading global marketing communications company providing the best talent, creativity and digital innovation in the world of integrated marketing services for more than 200 brands - including some of the world’s most iconic, innovative and successful ones.

Macchia is currently responsible for the design and implementation of the company’s enterprise benefits and wellness strategy, focusing on effectively positioning the benefits offering as it relates to employee health and wealth, and the resulting ROI.

Macchia joined Omnicom in July 2020 from ITT Inc. where spent 12 years leading the U.S. and non-U.S. benefits teams in successfully navigating a corporate de-merger that created three new organizations and overseeing the evolution of the company’s offerings to a more contemporary and cost-effective platform. Prior to that, she came from Hitachi America, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., a $112 billion leading global electronics company. There she spent 20 years in a number of increasingly responsible positions managing the benefits function for the company and its U.S. subsidiaries. Macchia garnered extensive experience managing retirement, and health and welfare plans across various Hitachi companies and at the corporate level.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Pace University and a Master of Science with honors from Mercy College, where she specialized in Human Resource Management.
