Dwaine Millard is the SVP and General Manager for Literacy Initiatives at Scholastic, where he is responsible for developing strategies and supports for schools, families, and communities through the lens of literacy as an agent of change. Dwaine has spent over 15 years as a national leader working for educational publishing and services companies, with a focus of working with school districts to improve literacy and acceleration for all students. He remains committed to working with school leadership, community organizations and corporations to create strategic solutions that increase equity and access for all children. Dwaine’s passion for education grew out of his background as a middle school English and Math teacher in Maryland.
