Emily co-leads the Morgan Health data team with a specific focus on data infrastructure and data-driven opportunity identification to support both new pilots and investments. She works closely with Morgan Health leadership and JP Morgan Chase's internal technology partners to develop a long-term data strategy that will enable the organization to scale using data. She also leads pilot development in the women's health space.

Emily has held data leadership roles at IBM Watson Health, Wellframe and Cityblock. In these organizations, she worked to build health care data infrastructure that enabled robust data science and she led and grew data science and analytics teams that worked closely with engineering and product organizations. She also founded and ran her own digital health start-up in the opioid recovery space which was active from 2016 – 2019.

Emily received her PhD from the Harvard-MIT joint division of Health Sciences and Technology. She has authored numerous publications on the applications of machine learning and data science to aspects of health care spanning medical imaging to population health. She served as the co-chair of Graduate Women at MIT an was recognized as one of MIT's Graduate Women of Excellence. In 2017 Emily was named one of Boston's 40 Under 40 for Healthcare Innovation. She is passionate about teaching and has held instructor positions at MIT, Udacity and the national Girls Who Code organization. Emily received her bachelor's degree in neuroscience and computer science from McGill University.
