Eric L. Keen, P.E. is chairman and chief executive officer of HDR, one of the largest architectural/engineering firms in the world and the 10th largest employee-owned company in the United States. He is responsible for the strategic growth of the company, and strives to create a purpose-driven culture where the next generation of employee owners can contribute. Under Eric’s leadership, HDR has nearly tripled in size, a result of several strategic acquisitions, which have also greatly expanded the firm’s capabilities.

A civil engineer by training, Eric has devoted his 40-year career to helping develop and deliver some of the world’s most notable infrastructure projects. He has also worked to advance the use of alternative contracting methods as a means of improving the quality and delivery of infrastructure projects. In 2019, Eric was inducted into the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Academy at his alma mater, The University of Iowa, in recognition of his leadership and contribution to the engineering profession.

Eric and his wife, Julie, reside in Omaha, Nebraska, where Eric contributes his time to many other organizations including Nebraska Medicine’s Board of Directors, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the STRATCOM Consultation Committee.
