Human Resources Director, Associate Principal
Corgan

Halima is an Associate Principal at Corgan, a global architecture and design firm.  Halima has over 25 years of experience in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) as well as strategic HR to aid organizations in crafting customized, practical, and realistic solutions that work.  She is continuously sought out for her thought leadership on workplace culture, talent pipeline building, community collaboration and employee experience best practices.

Halima’s down-to-earth, friend-next-door energy compels individuals to consider the perspectives of others, appreciate our flawed humanity and activate childlike curiosity while they learn. She engages groups from the moment she steps in front of them and leaves them with empowering tools and focused mindsets that they will use long after the learning experience is over. Halima is passionate about people, leadership accountability and leaving a positive light and love after each interaction. She is especially inspired to use her platform to educate and amplify those who are often on the margins.

Halima is a nationally certified HR & Diversity Executive.  She also is a certified Enterprise Design Thinking practitioner via IBM. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Capella University. Halima has worked in leadership roles in Fortune 500 organizations such as Raytheon and First Data Corporation. Before joining Corgan, she was a Principal Consultant with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

In her free time, she is an active family reunion attendee and reunion planning expert. What fills her bucket consistently is hanging out with her husband, Jason and their fur baby, Coltrane, attending alternative R&B and smooth jazz live performances and seasonally binge-watching reality TV.
