Horas Porras currently leads the global transformation of the Human Resources function across an organization of 2,000 employees distributed in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia, to rapidly align to the Company’s expansion and growth, as well as to serve its customers with agility, while enabling its digital transformation and a strong focus in HR and business operational excellence, talent development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

He played a key role throughout the pandemic, ensuring business continuity at American Tower across Latin America, and leading the global HR practice for several countries in Europe and Latin America for the largest acquisition process for American Tower in its history (USD 9 Bn).

He is born and raised in New Jersey, USA, also lived and worked in Brussels (Belgium), Milan (Italy), Bucharest (Romania), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Minnesota (USA), and for the past several years, in Miami, Florida.

Porras is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, as well as knowledge of French and Italian, has allowed me to forge a strong global experience in Human Resources, holding different international roles, such as VP of Human Resources Latin America, VP of Human Resources Americas, Head of Human Resources for Continental Europe, or Head of Global Mobility (7,500 expatriates in 80 countries), in several multinational companies such as Schlumberger, the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry, and in other organizations like American Tower, Cargill, Mastercard and McDonald's.

He has extensive experience leading talent management & development; organizational development; succession planning; performance management; compensation, benefits and incentives; programs and procedures; talent acquisition and HR policies for the Americas, Europe, and globally, while also working for many years in Mergers & Acquisitions and integration of companies.

Other career highlights include hiring and integrating people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) into several of the companies that I have worked for, mainly as Global Ambassador for Best Buddies International.

He serves on the Boards of Junior Achievement Miami, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (South Florida Committee); Founding Member of the Americas Society/Council of the Americas, Circle of Chief People Officers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master in Human Resources Management, as well as being a Marshall Goldsmith Certified Business Coach.
