Jordana George, PhD

Jordana George is a Clinical Assistant Professor of MIS at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Her research explores the societal impact of information systems, including data philanthropy and data collaborations, emancipatory technology, ethics of information systems, information systems and marginalized populations, digital activism, and fake news. She enjoys involving her students in her research, as well, helping Aggies live the Mays Business School motto,  “Advancing the world’s prosperity.” 

She holds a PhD from Baylor University, an MBA from Penn State University and an MFA from the University of California at Davis. Jordana currently serves as Managing Editor for Workshops for the Journal of the AIS and is a founding member of the Mays Business School Societal Impact Committee. She also co-chairs the HICSS conference minitrack for Social Impact of IS and the AMCIS conference minitrack for Using IS for Good. She has published in the Journal of Management Information Systems, Information and Organization, The Conference Board, Information Systems Management, Communications of the AIS, Information Systems Education Journal, and AIS Transactions on Replication Research.
