Karen Ganzlin is a Senior Fellow in the Human Capital Center, the Program Director for the Chief Human Resources Officers Council III, and an Advisory Board member for The Conference Board US Human Capital Center and for the University of Nebraska, Omaha’s College of Business Administration, Management.
During her 15-year tenure as EVP, CHRO of TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation, Karen was responsible for the overall management of the human resources function, including employee relations, compensation, benefit and retirement programs, workforce policies and programs, talent acquisition, talent and succession planning, organizational development and effectiveness, diversity and inclusion strategies, HR shared services, analytics, and cloud-based human capital technology. Karen also had accountability for the company's corporate real estate strategy and facilities, health and safety programs, and physical security and executive/employee protection. Karen served as a member of the company's Senior Operating Committee, which shaped the strategic focus of the organization. She retired in October 2020.
Prior to joining TD Ameritrade, Karen spent 24 years with TD Bank Financial Group in Canada. She started her career with TD Bank in Retail & Commercial Branch Banking in Calgary, Alberta, after graduating with her BA in Economics from the University of Calgary. Her last role with TD prior to relocating to the United States in 2005 was Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Wealth Management Division in Toronto, Ontario. Karen spent her entire career of almost 39 years with the TD family of companies.
Karen previously served as Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Omaha and continues to serve as a volunteer and adviser to the Executive Director & CEO.
