Twenty years ago, Madhavi started her career with MAS Holdings. MAS Holdings is the largest apparel and apparel tech company in South Asia, home to a community of nearly 100,000 people, and operates manufacturing plants in 17 countries. Catering to the demands of a dynamic and ever-changing industry, the MAS portfolio includes wearable technology, FemTech, start-ups, logistics, and fabric parks worldwide.

During her tenure with MAS, she was responsible for standardizing and implementing Talent Management processes in the areas of Employer Branding, Employer Value Proposition, Global Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Performance Improvement Processes, and Group Learning and Development for over 8,500 executives and above across MAS.

In her current role as Head of Human Resources, she leads the entire Human Resources and Administration function for MAS Holdings and MAS Capital. Additionally, Madhavi provides HR leadership for MAS Amity Singapore and MAS Foundation for Change organizations.

Madhavi Shilpadhipathi has played a pivotal role in building a pipeline of future talent for Sri Lanka’s workforce by partnering with local universities. She was instrumental in designing and developing Sri Lanka’s first UGC-approved skill development program for local university students. This collaboration focuses on increasing the employability of local university students by equipping them with the skills needed for the modern workplace through training interventions, sponsorships, and initiatives such as coaching and mentoring. By creating opportunities for students to gain practical experience and enter the workforce, she has strengthened the link between academia and industry for sustainable growth.

Trained from childhood in traditional Sri Lankan dance and music, Madhavi is a traditional folk singer who has represented Sri Lanka in several international cultural festivals. She has also shared her knowledge as a visiting lecturer at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).

Her academic background includes a Master of Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources from the University of Manipal, and a first degree in Business Management from the Association of Business Executives, UK.

As a mother of a 12-year-old son and the wife of a wonderful husband, family always comes first. Out of all her achievements, motherhood is the one she cherishes the most!
