Michael “Mike” Branca is head of Total Rewards, where he has responsibility for enterprise compensation, executive compensation, performance management, benefits and associate wellbeing. Regions is a regional bank that operates throughout the South, Midwest and Texas and is headquartered in Birmingham, Ala.

Prior to assuming his current role in 2021, Branca held a number of positions in financial services, leading compensation and benefits for a variety of business groups and at the enterprise level, both in the U.S. and abroad. Most recently Branca was head of Total Rewards and Performance Management for Wells Fargo with responsibility for benefits, wellbeing, recognition, executive compensation, broad-based compensation, governance and performance management. Previously he served as head of International Total Rewards for Bank of America and MBNA Bank.

Branca received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.

He is also the founder and president of the Underdog Foundation, a nonprofit that supports mental wellbeing and the arts.
