Dr. Olivia Begasse de Dhaem, MD, FAHS is a board-certified Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Connecticut and Headache Specialist. She is the founder and medical director of the Institute for Headache and Brain Health. She is a member of the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and serves as delegate for the Work Fitness & Disability Section of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). She is Co-Editor of the Oxford University Press pain series book “Headache What Do I Do Now?” and Executive Editor of the Pain Medicine journal. She is Co-Chair of the Global Patient Advocacy Coalition (GPAC) and of the American Headache Society Advocacy Committee. She is passionate about the topic of headache in the workplace and has presented on the topic nationally and internationally. She was also published in scientific journals and in the Harvard Business Review. She was part of the team that led the largest migraine education and management program in the workplace to date in the world, the Fujitsu Headache Project in Japan. She is now working on two large company-wide migraine in the workplace projects at two US companies.
