Steven Silverstein is Chief Executive Officer of Spencer Spirit Holdings, Inc., which operates two distinct experiential lifestyle brands, Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween.

Spencer’s, a retail icon founded in 1947, opened its first location in 1963. Today Spencer’s is the mall destination for fun and entertainment among 18-24 year olds, and operates over 600 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

Spirit, the largest Halloween retailer, originally founded in 1983 and acquired by Spencer’s in 1999, has experienced continued annual growth, opening 1,400 stores for the 2020 Halloween season. Spirit is the one-stop shopping destination for virtually everything you can imagine for Halloween.

Prior to leading the helm at Spencer Spirit, Steven was President of Linens & Things, a New Jersey based retailer specializing in housewares and home decorative accessories with over 500 locations in both the United States and Canada.  He previously held leadership roles at Bloomingdales and Macy’s in New York City.

Steven Silverstein earned his BA from Cornell University and MBA from The Wharton School.  He has served on corporate boards internationally as well as multiple local charitable boards in his hometown of Riverdale, New York.
