William Pfluger is Program Director at The Conference Board. Pfluger retired from Chevron Corporation several years ago following a 35+ year career with the company, spent in the finance function.
While at Chevron, Pfluger held numerous senior finance leadership positions in New York, Texas, the Philippines and Argentina. Over the last 12 years of his career, he established and led finance service centers in both Manila and Buenos Aires. Pfluger began his business career with Haskins & Sells (now Deloitte) where he gained petroleum audit experience.
He served as Vice President and Director of the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in the Philippines and Treasurer and Director of Philippines Business Processing Association/Philippines. For three years, Pfluger led Amcham’s annual Business Orientation Program for outstanding business scholars in their senior college year. He was a director of PAMURI (Philippine Association of Multinational Companies’ Regional Headquarters, Inc.). Currently Pfluger serves as a Trustee for the charitable Philippine American Guardian Association and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Pfluger holds a degree in BBA (Accountancy) and an MBA in International Business from Pace University in New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program.
