Senior Economist

Dr. Adriana Neligan, is a Senior Economist in the Department of Environment, Energy and Infrastructure at the German Economic Institute (IW). Her research focusses on resource efficiency/circular economy, sustainability, resource economics and all aspects of a Green(ing) Economy.
Prior to this she worked as a Senior Consultant with IW Consult, undertaking empirical studies on structural change, innovations, and industrial policy and being responsible for the survey design of different large and regular company surveys.
Neligan studied economics at the University of Augsburg, Germany and the Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. She received her Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland.
