Since joining Google in 2007, Alana has invested in building leaders, teams, and organizations across global offices. She has also conducted widely shared internal research about managers and teams known as Project Oxygen and gTeams. Her expertise lies in building leadership capacity in individuals and teams, facilitating group learning experiences and events, and designing plans for organizational change. Alana currently serves as a People Development Partner, and previously led a practice of internal consultants who specialize in organization design, change consulting, and strategy alignment.

Alana holds a BA in History and MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, a coaching certification from the Hudson Institute, and is currently pursuing a Systemic Team Coaching Diploma. Alana serves on the non-profit board of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater in the West Village.
