Amy is a Corporate Vice President who leads the Corporate Functions HR team at Microsoft. Her remit includes HR for the company’s corporate functions (HR, Corporate, External & Legal Affairs, Finance Business Development, Strategy & Ventures, Marketing, Operations), Merger and Venture Success HR, Global Employee Relations, Unified HR Consulting Team for US Engineering, Gaming and Corporate Functions, and the Office of the CEO. Amy also serves as the executive lead for the Enterprise Crisis Management team and Microsoft’s Work Environment policies, is a member of Microsoft’s Flexible Work Executive Advisory Council and is an ally executive sponsor for the Indigenous @Microsoft employee resource group. Amy has more than 27 years of leadership experience in delivering innovative employee experiences, coaching teams to operate in an agile way, and building an inclusive and energizing culture.

Amy has more than 27 years of leadership experience in delivering innovative employee experiences, coaching teams to operate in an agile way, and building an inclusive and energizing culture. Amy joined Microsoft in 1996 and held various HR leadership roles in compensation, performance, and talent management. In 2005, she left Microsoft to be an HR & Equity consultant and then became CHRO of Medio Systems, a mobile search and advertising start up that was later acquired by Here (a subsidiary of Nokia).

Since Amy’s return to Microsoft in 2009, she has held a variety of leadership roles including HR Director for Mergers & Acquisitions, where she helped lead more than 60 company transactions including acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and divestitures. She was also in HR Business Partner leadership roles across Microsoft for Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Corporate Strategy, and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. Amy also served as the HR leader for Microsoft’s COVID response and transition to hybrid work.

Amy serves as a campaign executive for the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship, the first public-private scholarship program dedicated to building lasting pathways to secondary education and high-demand STEM and trade careers for all Washington students. Amy is a regular keynote speaker and panelist on the following topics: future of work, workforce trends, HR strategy, employee wellbeing, health and safety, hybrid work, and culture in an era of AI. Amy holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MA in Organizational Psychology and Human Resources from Antioch University.
