Dr. Amy Bladen Shatto is the founder and President of Leadership Variations, a boutique HR/OD consulting firm dedicated to measurably enhancing leadership capabilities at all levels. She also serves as a senior adjunct consultant for DDI (Development Dimensions International, a top leadership development consulting firm). A proven, 25-year record of customized, measurable, end-to-end solutions and unstoppable enthusiasm distinguish Amy as an "all-in-one" strategic leadership development, assessment, and coaching partner. Her subject matter expertise ranges from accelerating high potential leaders through intense programming, and action learning, to deep assessment, performance management, competency modeling and high-performance team interventions. An ICF (PCC) and Board-Certified Coach (BCC), Amy also brings to these practices a focus on leadership/executive coaching with specialties in building high performance teams, women’s leadership, and focused behavioral competency development.  

Throughout her 25-year career, Amy has driven award-winning leadership development programs at Fortune 500 firms and recognizable HR/OD professional services consultancies. Amy has worked internally and externally across multiple industries from which she has parlayed her technical and culturally diverse knowledge into designing, facilitating, and delivering on complex interventions at all stages of the talent cycle. Her broad clientele has also included senior level internal roles at recognizable companies including Merrill Lynch, Merck, Metlife, Towers Watson and Avanade (Microsoft/Accenture JV) and others. Most recently she focuses on leadership growth in STEM (tech and life sciences industries).

Amy is also a leadership development thought leader, having widely published, presented, and remained socially relevant in a variety of forums from the highly academic (e.g., Personnel Psychology, SIOP) to the practitioner oriented (Chief Learning Officer, ATD) as well as her newly launched forum for executives “Leadership-Live-In-45”.

Amy received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Industrial/Organization Psychology from the University of Missouri, St. Louis and has a B.A. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
