Ana Elena leads P&G’s global Purchasing organization which includes all of the Company’s sourcing, procurement and RPM planning efforts. This community of Purchasing professionals is responsible for every dollar spent across the entire Company. This covers raw materials, packaging and capital used to manufacture our products, as well as Contract Manufacturing, Logistics & Transportation, IT, Labor, Media, and all other services required to market our brands and operate our business. In her role as CPO, Ana Elena is responsible for developing mastery within the organization as well as setting the vision and capabilities needed to execute Supplier Citizenship strategies, stewardship and governance. Purchasing delivers disproportionate value through savings and cash as well as product, packaging, marketing and in-store superiority. Ana Elena joined P&G in 1988 as a Department Manager at our Fabric & Home Care site in Caracas, Venezuela. After several assignments in Product Supply –Manufacturing, Supply Network Operations and Human Resources – Ana Elena transitioned into Purchases, where she has spent the last 20 years of her career. Her experience in various PS disciplines across two regions and decades of leadership roles in Purchases lead to being named the Chief Purchasing Officer in 2020. Ana Elena is a respected leader who role models a growth mindset and passionately leads P&G’s Hispanic Affinity group.
