Andrea Bonime-Blanc, JD/PhD, is founder and CEO of GEC Risk Advisory, a board member and advisor. She specializes in the governance of change focusing on global strategic risk, leadership ethics, geopolitics, sustainability, and exponential tech, advising business, NGOs, and government. A former c-suite executive, she serves on several boards and advisory boards, is Senior Fellow at NYU’s Center for Global Affairs, AI Ethics Strategy Fellow at the American College for Financial Services, Independent Ethics Advisor to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico and founding global faculty at the Institute for Corporate Directors Malaysia Mandatory Board Sustainability Certificate.

Andrea is a recipient of numerous awards including the 2023 Diligent Governance 100, and 2022 NACD Directorship 100 and is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She is a global keynote speaker and 6x book author, including Gloom to Boom: How Leaders Transform Risk into Resilience and Value (Routledge 2020). Her next book for Georgetown University Press Governing Pandora: Leading in the Age of Generative AI and Exponential Technology will be published in late 2025. She was raised in Germany and Spain, received a joint JD in Law and PhD in Political Science from Columbia University, and lives in New York City.
