Senior Advisor, Outsourcing/Offshoring

Antonius (“Ton”) Heijmen is senior advisor, outsourcing/offshoring, at The Conference Board. He has 35 years of experience in global operations, business development, and consulting. He oversaw The Conference Board research project Thinking Offshoring Through: A Framework for Decision Makers, which resulted in three Research Reports published between 2005 and 2007.

Heijmen also led the Assessing Offshoring Risks Research Working Group and is the program director for the Globalization Leadership Council. He was The Conference Board’s point man in the collaboration with Duke University’s Offshoring Research Network.

Prior to The Conference Board, Heijmen was a senior partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a member of the Global Business Process Outsourcing Executive Team. He served as the international executive partner for consulting at Coopers & Lybrand before the company’s merger with Price Waterhouse. Before joining Coopers & Lybrand, he served on the management board of Emery Worldwide and was a senior consultant with McKinsey & Company and Booz Allen & Hamilton. In addition to publishing numerous articles, Heijmen created a business guide on the “New Europe” for the Connecticut Department of Economic Development.
