Ashley Dartnell

Global DE&I Director
Boston Consulting Group

Ashley is responsible for driving the strategy and execution of BCG’s Global DEI agenda. Across gender, LGBTQ+, (dis)ability, and ethnic/cultural/socioeconomic groups she works with BCG leadership to define the firm’s aspirations, track and report on our progress, increase leadership accountability and design and support programs to foster an equitable and inclusive environment for all 25,000 BCG employees. She leads a team that has developed groundbreaking DE&I thought leadership, including an external DE&I survey of +20k employees in 16 countries.

In addition to the focus on internal programming, Ashley is also responsible for building BCG's brand externally as a DE&I thought leader and partner.  She has coauthored a number of articles about LGBTQ+ employees, inclusion, women in tech, and caregivers—and has spoken at The Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society, The Cambridge Judge Wo+Men's Leadership Centre, and The Bloomberg Equality Summit—among others. Ashley also regularly participates in client discussions as an expert in DE&I.

Ashley worked at BCG for four years as a Consultant in the New York office after graduating from Harvard Business School and Bryn Mawr College. She then worked in media in a variety of positions, and authored a memoir, before rejoining BCG as Head of International Campus Recruiting in 2017.
