Ashok Pillai is a senior member of bp Plc’s People and Culture leadership team as the Global Head of Remuneration. In this role he is accountable for all matters relating to wider workforce and executive total remuneration including policy, design, governance, and implementation. He is an advisor on all matters relating performance and reward to the bp leadership team and the bp main board. 

Ashok joined bp in 2004. Over the years his roles have spanned a variety of areas including Executive remuneration, all employee reward, wellbeing, People strategy, workforce representation, location strategy and performance management. 

Earlier in his career, Ashok led the Hay Group in Singapore & managed key clients in London. He started his career with ITC ltd in India. He has a master’s in human resources from XLRI, India and an MBA with distinction from the London business School. 

He is a NED in the privately held WeCare Group which manages several Care Homes in the North and Northwest of England, specialising in all areas of Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care.
