Carlene Alexander is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion professional based in the New York metro area. Currently, Ms. Alexander (Carlene) is the Global Diversity Officer at the United Nations Federal Credit Union. Prior to UNFCU, Ms. Alexander was employed in Human Resources with the Millennium Broadway Hotel, primarily responsible for recruitment, employee benefits and administrative support. Ms. Alexander (Carlene) has worked with the United Nations Federal Credit Union in a progression of roles supporting their Human Resources function. Currently Ms. Alexander (Carlene) oversees UNFCU’s Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative. Ms. Alexander (Carlene) holds a Masters Degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Baruch College, City University of New York. She completed her undergraduate coursework, also at Baruch College, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as well as HR/NY and holds a Diversity and Inclusion Professional Certificate from Cornell University. Ms. Alexander (Carlene) is the mother of two boys, which she and her husband raise using their faith based belief in God. She also spends her time as an advisory member and volunteer for UNFCU Foundation, a New York non-profit organization with a mission to sustain the path out of poverty through healthcare and education for women and children. Ms. Alexander (Carlene) works with young children as part of the Children’s Ministry of Christ Church USA. She is a Board member for Vet2Mentor an organization geared at helping veterans mentor youth in underserved communities. She serves as a commissioner on the Human Relations Council of her township in New Jersey.
