Charles Fadel, MBA is a Senior Fellow, Human Capital at The Conference Board. In this role, Mr. Fadel supports the Human Capital Practice which includes The Conference Board Human Capital Exchange™, research, conferences, webcasts and programs in a broad spectrum of human capital areas.

In addition to serving as a Senior Fellow, Mr Fadel is also a visiting scholar at Harvard GSE, MIT ESG/IAP and Wharton/Penn in the Chief Learning Officer program. Based Boston, MA USA, Mr. Fadel is presently researching 21st century skills and the future of work.

Mr. Fadel was previously Global Education Lead for Cisco Systems, responsible for education thought leadership and research. Previous executive roles include 15 years in the ICT industry (semiconductors, and systems). He has been awarded five patents on video, content, and communication technologies, and is an angel investor with Beacon Angels.

Mr. Fadel also serves as vice-chair of the Education committee of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), nominated by the US Chamber of International Business (USCIB); member of the President’s Council of Olin College; board member at Innovate/Educate (dedicated to the advocacy of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)); appointee to the Massachusetts gubernatorial “Commission to Develop an Index of Creative and Innovative Education in Public Schools”, and has served on the Massachusetts Governor’s Readiness Project as well as its 21st Century Skills task force.

The author of a best-seller 21st Century Skills – Learning for Life in our Times, Mr. Fadel holds a bachelor of science in electronics with course concentration in quantum and solid-state physics with a minor in neuroscience, and a master of business administration in international marketing.
