Christine Karlsson is the Vice President of Total Rewards for Saint-Gobain, a worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction.  In her role, she is responsible for the benefits and compensation strategies in the North American region for over 18,000 employees.

Christine has held senior level leadership positions in human resources across multiple industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Delaware, a Master Certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University and has participated in several leadership development and professional certificate programs. She also holds the SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications (Senior Certified Professional) from the Society of Human Resources Management and the HR Certification Institute.

Christine has extensive experience in redesigning and implementing Total Rewards strategies from privately held organizations to Fortune 500 companies.  She has led over 50 mergers and acquisitions and multiple HR system implementations.  Christine understands the importance of defining HR outcomes based on the organizational capabilities and goals. She understands that in order to deliver value to the business and a positive employee experience, we need to challenge ourselves and our purpose– who we are, what we do, and how and why we do it.

Over the last several years, Christine has served in various capacities in professional and charitable organizations including the Gift of Life Organ Donation Program, LEAP University Academy Charter School Board of Trustees, Health Transformation Alliance and American Benefits Council. Christine and her husband, John, have three daughters and enjoy traveling in their free time.
