Cornis van der Lugt is a senior research fellow at the Centre for Corporate Governance in Africa, Stellenbosch University Business School in South Africa. He is also a Geneva-based consultant with over twenty years’ international experience in the social responsibility and environmental field.

He was one of the contributing authors to “The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) for Business and Enterprise” report (Earthscan 2011), and co-authored with Professor Robert Ayres of INSEAD business school the “Green Manufacturing” chapter of the “Green Economy Report” by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP 2012). He holds a PhD in International Relations (EU) and Masters in Business Administration from the Haute Ecole de Commerce (HEC, Paris).
