Dave Swiggum is a Program Director at The Conference Board. In 2017, Dave left IBM after a highly successful career. From an entry position in direct marketing based in Toronto, he progressed quickly to the executive ranks. His global roles included Vice-President Enterprise Integration and Vice-President Global Client Relationships. In addition, he has held multiple global vice-president positions in the areas of operations, supply chain & service parts, and sales support.

Dave is known as an inspirational leader who creates and guides highly skilled teams to deliver successful customer and business outcomes. In particular, his career is marked by his passionate determination to put the customer first. He has a unique ability to put himself in others’ shoes. Before it was fashionable, he was a role model in this regard, demonstrating that business growth is best achieved through trusted individual relationships.

Dave’s contagious enthusiasm inspired IBMers to achieve outstanding results. In 2015, he and his team were the first IBM winners of the Gold Stevie Award for Sales & Customer Service. From 2014-2017 he represented IBM as an active member of the Conference Board's Customer Experience Council.

Dave holds B.Sc. and MBA degrees from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario.
