David Lacher

David is the inaugural program director for the M&A Legal Council at The Conference Board. He received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and his JD from the Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a Law Review editor and published Law Review author. As a former member of the Antitrust & Trade Regulation and the Federal Legislation Committees of the New York City Bar Association, he was the principal author of several committee reports issued on behalf of the NYC Bar.

Later, David served in two large Manhattan law firms before working in-house for public and private companies in the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and retail sectors as Counsel, completing multiple M&A transactions, including multinational deals.

He is an experienced and collaborative organizational leader who enjoys employing his gifts and experience as a teacher and trainer of practicing lawyers and law students.
David currently serves as the President of the New Rochelle (Westchester County, NY) Bar Association and as Program Director for The Conference Board's M&A Legal Council.
