Elena L. French is Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Brand and Communications at Lincoln Financial Group. In this role, Elena oversees the company’s corporate advertising, brand, consumer insights, communications, social media and corporate sponsorship initiatives, including the company’s naming rights sponsorship of the Philadelphia Eagles’ home stadium, Lincoln Financial Field. She reports to John Kennedy, executive vice president, president, Lincoln Financial Distributors and Head of Brand. 

Previously, French was the company’s head of Corporate Communications, a position she held since 2016. During that time, she led formation of a creative, high-performing team focused on engaging and informing employees, increasing executive leadership’s visibility and elevating awareness of the company’s products and solutions.  

Before joining Lincoln in 2016, Elena held several positions at TIAA, formerly TIAA-CREF, including Marketing Vice President and Head of Creative Services and Vice President and Head of Institutional Retirement Marketing. Over the course of her 12-year career with TIAA, she also led the Brand Strategy and Advertising functions. 

Elena began her career as a Public Affairs Specialist/Journalist (MOS: 46Q) in the U.S. Army Reserve before spending six years as a trade reporter and managing editor in Washington, D.C. She has also held managerial roles in media relations, public relations and marketing communications. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses as well as a BA degree in Political Communications from The George Washington University. 

Elena lives in Newtown Square, PA, with her two sons, Conrad and Logan, her partner Mike, and her two cats, Scarlett and Charlie.
