With more than 25 years of experience in leading global change management and employee communication programs for Fortune 500 companies, Greg has helped a number of organizations and their stakeholders successfully drive change to achieve and sustain their desired outcomes.

Joining Gagen MacDonald in 2017, Greg provides strategic organizational communications, change leadership and change effectiveness counsel to the firm’s clients.

Throughout his career, Greg has led or provided key contributions to programs such as strategic alignment, employee engagement, organization restructurings, system launches, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, business process improvement, internal/integrated branding, and culture alignment. He has served leading companies in the insurance, transportation, financial services, manufacturing, and food and beverage industries.

Prior to joining Gagen, Greg led the creation and development of a change leadership and effectiveness function for American Family Insurance. Leading a team of 20, this function was responsible for change management outcomes related to the company’s top strategic initiatives that included new product introductions, technology upgrades, sales and distribution optimization, HR systems transformation, and cyber security. Greg previously launched the Change Effectiveness consulting practice area for Patina Solutions, an Inc. 500 professional services consulting firm. His team led client engagements focused on helping stakeholders transition to new structures, technologies, processes, and cultures. At Patina, his clients included BASF, Kohler, and RW Baird. Greg also has extensive experience designing, developing and leading performance-focused communication functions for companies such as Johnson Controls, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, and Rockwell Automation. A passionate people developer, Greg has advised and supported numerous CEOs and senior executives to become skilled and active change agents. He has created and facilitated numerous change and communication development coaching and workshop sessions for senior, emerging, and front-line leaders. One example is Greg’s work in helping supervisors at then Coors Brewing Company effectively communicate with their employees the what and why of that company’s operational excellence initiative.

Greg serves as a Board member and Immediate Past President  of the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP), which is advancing the discipline of change management globally. He currently serves as Chair of the ACMP Profession Committee, building on his experience as a member of the ACMP StandardWorking Group of 24 global thought leaders that developed The Standard for Change Management® for change management practitioners.
