Gretchen W. McClain has served as President & CEO of J.M. Huber Corporation since April 2022. She joined the Huber Board of Directors in 2016, bringing a unique perspective based on more than 25 years of global experience. McClain has held a diverse range of leadership roles, including the founding CEO of Xylem Inc.— an S&P 500 global water technology company with almost $4 billion in revenue—and Deputy Associate Administrator for NASA’s International Space Station.

Through her consulting practice, GW McClain Advisory Services, she provides leadership coaching and business services to CEOs, Executives and C-suite leaders. McClain often works with start-up firms and private equity firms on strategic development, business growth and expansions, including mergers and acquisitions. She is also an Operating Executive with The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm.

Prior to establishing her consulting business, McClain oversaw the successful spin-off and creation of Xylem for ITT Corporation. Before taking the helm at Xylem, McClain served as President and Senior Vice President of ITT Fluid Motion & Control.

McClain also held several senior executive leadership positions at Honeywell Aerospace (formerly AlliedSignal), including Vice President and General Manager of its Business, General Aviation & Helicopter, Commercial Electronics Systems division.

Gretchen currently serves on the Board of Directors of two publicly traded companies: AMETEK, Inc. and Booz Allen & Hamilton Holding Corporation. She formerly served on the Boards of Boart Longyear Limited and Hennessy Capital Investment Corp. VI.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
