Hugh C. Welsh is the President of dsm-firmenich North America & General Counsel of dsm-firmenich America’s a global leader in Health, Nutrition & Beauty; traded on the Amsterdam stock exchange with 30,000 employees worldwide and $13 billion in annual sales. dsm-firmenich develops, manufactures, and sells nutritional and food & feed ingredients, flavors, fragrances, personal care products and biomedical materials. Hugh is the Co-Chair of the ReadyNation CEO Early Life Task Force focused on addressing the nation’s childcare crisis.  Hugh also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Partners in Food Solutions, the Seafood Nutrition Partnership, the National Diversity Council, the Board and Executive Committee of the Global Business Alliance, the Board of Governors of Union County College, the TriState Diversity Council, the Business Climate Leadership Council and previously served on the Board and Executive Committee of BIO, the American Chemistry Council and NYSE traded Patheon. 

Hugh is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Seton Hall Law School, and Executive Leadership programs at IMD, Wharton Business School and Harvard Business School. Hugh has been with dsm firmenich since 2004 and was previously with the American Standard Companies and McCarter & English.
