Karessa L. Cain is an associate in the corporate department at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she has worked on matters ranging from domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate governance matters, proxy contests and joint ventures. Cain graduated cum laude from Yale College in 2000. She received her J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2004, where she was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Following graduation from law school, Cain served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
