Ajay Subramanian is the Bruce A. Palmer Associate Professor of RMI at Georgia State University. He specializes in mathematical finance and financial economics. He has an M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University. His research focuses primarily on applications of stochastic control techniques to problems in asset pricing theory, corporate finance, and financial intermediation. His work has appeared in such journals as Communications in Statistics, Stochastic Models, Mathematical Finance, and The Journal of Finance. After obtaining his Ph.D., Subramanian spent four years in industry as a quantitative research associate with the investment firm Susquehanna International Group in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.
