Sanjai Bhagat is Provost Professor of Finance at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has an MBA from the University of Rochester and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. He has advised the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Treasury, and numerous companies on corporate governance and finance issues. Bhagat has served as board member of Integra Ventures, a venture capital company; The K-Group, an internet-based next-generation business solutions company; and the National Association of Corporate Directors - Colorado Chapter. He has served as associate editor for the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Financial Research, and Journal of Corporate Finance. His work is regularly cited in the popular and financial media, such as the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, The Economist, and New York Times.
