Joseph O. Blanco is co-chair of the MLA Governance Center, which represents boards of directors in governance and crisis management. His practice focuses on representing special committees of boards of directors in conducting governance reviews and investigations. Blanco also counsels clients in determining best practices for compliance programs, including complying with governmental regulations and mandates, and, in this regard, has developed skill in assisting companies in addressing state’s unclaimed property laws and their enforcement. He has extensive and varied experience, having represented the boards of Fortune 100 companies, nonprofit companies, and quasi-governmental organizations.
