Frank Steemers is an Associate Economist at The Conference Board and mainly involved in the analysis of the labor market in the US and other mature economies. Based in New York, he conducts statistical and descriptive analyses and writes labor market blogs. He is one of the primary researchers of The Conference Board's wage, population, and labor shortages models and presents on labor market webcasts. Steemers contributed to several projects, including the reports Help Wanted: What Looming Labor Shortages Mean for Your Business, Global Labor Market Outlook 2018, and Blue-Collar Workers Shortages: Navigating a Business Environment of Higher Labor Costs.
Steemers received an MA and MSc with distinction for his successful completion of the double master’s degree program in International and Development Economics from the Universities of Groningen (The Netherlands) and Göttingen (Germany). In addition, Steemers holds a BSc in psychology from the University of Groningen.
