Global Head of Consumer & Marketplace Insights
Chandan Mukherji has been the Global Head of Consumer & Marketplace Insights for Nestlé since 2013, based out of Switzerland. In this role, Chandon is responsible for leading human and market centric understanding as an input into strategy development, identification of opportunities and Brand Building the Nestlé way. This multi-faceted global role combines deep, strategic best practice thinking as well as working together with businesses and markets in their reality on understanding consumer behaviour, core insights discovery, consumer journey & experience mapping, small & big data, measurement/analytics, trends and foresight identification.
Previously, Chandan was a member of the Management Committee of Nestlé India Limited, and led development of the market business strategy and consumer insights which drove the implementation of a transformational growth strategy. He combined a strategic perspective with operational business experience, having built a strong grounding as Senior Brand Manager in Hindustan Unilever Limited in India, where he developed his passion to connect the consumer and the business.
Chandan has a broad, international and market perspective across multiple business categories with different opportunities and challenges. He travels to about one market every month on business to be closely connected with people and the changing world we live in. His work revolves around driving consumer centricity as a key driver to ignite growth, embracing diverse thinking, and using a wide variety of new world frameworks and tools to unlock the energy and passion of teams.
