The Conference Board
John Gleason is a Program Director at The Conference Board. His connection with The Conference Board began in 2017, when he was invited to help create, curate, launch, and lead a new Design-related Council.
Prior to joining The Conference Board, John had a rewarding career at Procter & Gamble that spanned more than two decades, John’s global responsibilities in customer service, operations, international trade, strategic sourcing, and design & innovation – at some point - touched every business unit and every region. Notably, John was a part of P&G’s initial, formative journey to elevate and leverage Design more strategically in its businesses, and in its DNA and culture. John served as process owner and gatekeeper for all of P&G’s external design and innovation agency relationships – he interfaced with almost 400 different design, innovation, and creative agencies – as well as dozens of other Fortune 500 corporations who sought to benchmark with P&G’s vision for a strategic role for Design.
Subsequently, John launched A Better View Strategic Consulting, LLC to “enhance the intersection of creative relationships”, and to help elevate and leverage Design as a strategic business competence (not just a decoration station). It aims to help clients and agencies find the most appropriate cultures, capabilities, capacity, and value to help solve for their most compelling challenges and opportunities. John and A Better View have now touched more than 1,000 agencies, and more than 100 of the world’s leading consumer-facing corporations and brands – contributing new perspective and opportunities for better organizational and business performance through Design and through their partnerships across the client/agency continuum.
