James Stephenson

James Stephenson is the Council Director for the Global Rewards Council at The Conference Board. James is a Global Head of Reward, with over twenty five years’ experience across a number of reward and HR disciplines, who has worked with multiple Blue Chip and FTSE100 organisations across a range of sectors including Mining, FMCG, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Media, Retail, Construction and Asset Management.

His wide-ranging portfolio includes reward strategy design and implementation and change management, base and variable pay structures and design, performance management, executive and employee remuneration, mergers and acquisitions, share plans, benefits pensions and global mobility. He has worked for a number of international companies including Tesco, Lend Lease Corporation, Rio Tinto, Barclays, London Stock Exchange Group, Ferguson and DS Smith.  

James has a Bachelors Degree in Modern Languages and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). He speaks German, French and Italian.
