Jean has over two decades of PR and marketing communications experience in Mainland China and was based in Shanghai from 2001 to 2018. Her clients range from leading MNCs including Jaguar Land Rover to P&G and Coca-Cola to smaller niche organisations and brands including Aman Hotels, Delvaux and Sothebys.
Her expertise lies in grounding all thinking and advice around research, insights and inputs from an array of internal and external audiences and creating powerful and compelling narratives. Often working closely with the C-suite and CEOs, Jean is a firm believer in time spent planning and crafting messages.
From product launches to CEO speech writing and white papers, Jean believes in being hands-on and actively involved throughout the process.
Jean now runs her own bespoke communications consulting practice providing strategic counsel to British Brands and Companies, UK based, wanting insights into the China market.
Over the years, Jean has been a regular speaker at events in China and in the UK, most recently at the China Britain Business discussing the Luxury Industry in China. She coauthored, with Hung Huang, publisher of i-Look, an opinion survey entitled “China Cool Hunt - Insights into the Hearts, Minds and Wallets of Chinese Youth”. It received widespread international media coverage.
Jean has an MA from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.
